We were honored to receive this letter from a client recently. The client is overseeing care for his parents and gave us permission to share their photo (above) and his name. Steve wrote to Sheila McMackin, owner, and Edwin Nunez, director of nursing, about the excellent care and service his family are receiving from our caregiver Kelsey.
Hi Sheila and Edwin,
I wanted to send a note to thank you for finding Kelsey. In just two months she has become indispensable to our family. She has completely won the trust of both of my parents, and me as well. She goes above and beyond every day. A few recent examples:
- For my parents’ 61st wedding anniversary, she helped my dad shop for a beautiful gift for my mom on Amazon, which my dad would be unable to do on his own (he can’t even remember his anniversary). This brought them both so much joy.
- When my mom suffered a bout of depression recently, Kelsey recommended a book of daily affirmations to help her feel better (and it did help).
- When it was clear my dad was dehydrated and refusing to drink glasses of water, Kelsey bought fruit flavor packets (0 cals) to make the water more tasty. My dad started drinking it on a daily basis.
- Kelsey has somehow gotten my dad to go to the gym almost every day and ride the lifecycle or do PT exercises. Me and mom tried for years to persuade dad to go to the gym without success.

These are just a few examples, but every day Kelsey is completely engaged with their care and manages to find creative solutions to their problems (which are endless). She keeps me informed and engaged via text messages and phone calls, which I very much appreciate. She sends me photos so I can see how they’re doing. I attached one below of the anniversary gift my dad gave my mom (a wedding photo etched into a glass heart).
I wanted to know what a positive impact Kelsey has made on our lives. Thank you so much.
