We know what you’re going through. You or your loved one need in-home care—perhaps urgently—and you have a lot of choices. With so many home-care agencies available, you may wonder how to evaluate and choose one.
We’d like to help ease the process for you by sharing some of the key factors that separate Wellspring from other agencies.
- Nurse-managed care. Millions of people benefit from in-home non-medical help such as companionship, medication reminders, household chores, and the like. At the same time, more and more people need nurse-managed care in the home, especially as they age. At Wellspring, all of our services are nurse managed. That means that if one of our aides who is serving a client with non-medical needs notices a potential medical need, the aide can confer with the nurse. We train our aides to notice warning signs that other agency aides might overlook.
- Agility and responsiveness. We are available 24/7 and provide services by the hour or on a live-in basis. All Wellspring Personal Care clients benefit from the expertise of our management team of health care professionals, which includes a geriatric care manager and licensed clinical social worker, a registered nurse and certified legal nurse consultant, and a licensed physician and surgeon. With their combined expertise and that of our certified nurse assistants, you are assured of receiving the right care at the right time.
- Industry leadership. Wellspring is a long-time leader in the field. In fact, our founder, Sheila McMackin, MSW, LCSW, was the founder and first board president of the Home Care Association of America (HCAOA), formerly the National Private Duty Association. Today the HCAOA represents more than 4,000 agencies nationwide.
- Home-grown team. Wellspring Personal Care started in 1993 in Chicago, at a time when not many personal care and home nursing services were available. We are privately owned and operated, not a franchise or part of an investment group’s portfolio. Our clients receive personalized, expert-backed care and assistance, whether at home or in a group facility.
Please feel free to contact us and learn more about our services. We look forward to understanding the kind of care you need and making a plan.
